With Google Authorship, you can appear as the author of a post you have created on GiveBackWorks, including your photo and a link to other posts you have authored. This is a great way of making your posts on GiveBackWorks stand out when people search for you on Google. All you need is a Google+ profile and to link your Google+ account to your GiveBackWorks account, which can be done as follows: On GiveBackWorks, log-in and then hover over your name (under the search box at the top-right) and click Contact Details. Scroll down and fill in your Google+ Profile Name and Google+ Profile Link, as per the following example: Click Save. Now go to Google+ and edit the Contributor To section. In the dialog that appears, click Add custom link, and then enter your area website URL (e.g. www.york.givebackworks.com). Click Save. Once you have done this, you can see what your search results might look like by entering the URL of a thread that you have created on the GiveBackWorks website into the structured data testing tool.
If you don't believe me, I just spotted this on Google this morning searching for "Simon Gilbert’s brilliant book"... Stands out like a sore thumb!!
